Quick Summary: Idolon is a client-side app. You provide your own AI provider API key. Your data is stored on your device or synced to your personal cloud account if you sign in. We never see or store your data.

1. The Service

Idolon ("the Service") is a user interface that connects to third-party generative artificial intelligence ("AI") models. We DO NOT provide the AI models themselves. You must provide your own API keys from providers like Google, Groq, etc., to use the Service. You are solely responsible for adhering to the terms of service of your chosen API provider.

2. Content and Conduct

You are responsible for all input you provide and all content you generate using the Service. You agree not to use the Service to create, solicit, or promote any content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, hateful, or violates the rights of others.

Privacy and Data

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We DO NOT collect, view, or store any of your personal data, chat messages, or API keys on our servers.

• Local Storage: By default, all your characters, chat history, and settings are stored locally in your browser's storage on your device.
• Cloud Backup (Optional): If you sign in, your data is backed up to a personal, sandboxed space in Google Firebase.
• Encryption: All chat content backed up to the cloud is encrypted before it is sent.
